The Denver Nuggets took a well-deserved break from practice for the NBA Global Games last night when they headed over to Emirates Stadium to meet members of the Arsenal squad. As part of the Stan Kroenke family, both teams are already very familiar with each other. The entire Nuggets roster turned out at Arsenal’s ground including the likes of Kenneth Faried, Emmanuel Mudiay, Malik Beasley and Juan Hernangomez. The players were taking in the atmosphere of the Emirates and visited the changing rooms as well as testing out the turf.
The Nuggets were shown around by a host of Arsenal players, including Per Mertesacker, Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding. The Arsenal stars gave the Nuggets a few tips and tricks with a football as well as gifting them with their very own personalized Arsenal shirt.

Emmanuel Mudiay said of the experience: “I’m very excited to be here in London, it’s a beautiful place to be at. It was great to find out more about the history of Arsenal, what they’re about but I was most excited about getting a jersey!”

Malik Beasley said: “I was really excited to visit Arsenal. It was great to see the locker room, meet the players and learn a few tricks with a soccer ball too!”

Juan Hernangomez said: “It was great to visit Arsenal – I play with them a lot on FIFA. We have a great Spanish player, Santi Cazorla, who I like a lot and it was great to meet another Spaniard Hector Bellerin of course. I also admire Petr Cech – he’s one of my favorite players.”

The Denver Nuggets host the Indiana Pacers at The O2 in London on Jan. 12 as part of NBA Global Games London 2017. The game is live on BT Sport, BT SPORT Facebook or via NBA LEAGUE PASS (www.nba.tv).
